Hey Curls!

I'm happy to talk about a new product that I tried out yesterday! It's the new Camille Rose "Curl Maker" . I've always seen Camille Rose products in my local Target, but had yet to try out any of their products, until now!(Mainly because of price I'm guessing) So, I was excited that Camille Rose contacted me and wanted me to try out their Curl maker product myself, and see how I'd like it! Of course I said yes, being that I'd love to do a review for you guys, on whether it's worth the buy or not, and of course my curiosity on these products were well over due! :) So hey, Let's go for it!

First Impression- When I first seen the Camille Rose Curl Maker, I have to admitt that from the outside it really didn't look like it would work for my curls. It reminded me of the Shea Moisture "Curl SoufflĂ©" (which I have yet to master) and all I could think about was a greasy, heavy, glumpy( is glumpy a word? Lol) mess!

Ingredients: Dionized Water,Pectin,Coconut oil,Aloe leaf juice,Panthenol,Castor seed oil, Marshmallow root extract, Agave Anerican leaf extract, Horsetail extract, Nettle leaf extract, Corn starch, Xanthan Gum, Seaweed Crispus, Polysotbate 20, Vitamin E, Vitamin B-12, Optipheb ND, Caprylyl Glycol, Fragrance

After reading the ingredients, I knew why it reminded me of the Shea Moisture SoufflĂ©, it was most definetly the Agave nectar and jelly-like consistency!

The consistency is very smoothe and light that it almost melts in your hand as you rub it in. It has a pinch of stick, and to my surprise it was not greasy or oily at all. (YES! This might actually work lol).. It smells like a mixture between peaches and a nectarine (to me) Which I like!

Applying it to the hair- I applied this product to soaking wet hair, and distributed it evenly to define my curls in each section coating my hair from root to tip, twisting my hair, and allowing my wash and go to air dry overnight.

When I woke up in the morning I noticed it was still alil damp, so I blow dried my hair (on the cool setting) until it was fully dry. When I finished, I began to seperate my twist, and it revealed amazing, Soft,Shiny,Bouncy, Full, curls. I was in love!
My hair is super soft and I'm Obsessed! lol This is definetly a new staple and fav of mine! Well worth the buy, and I recommend it for anyone trying to achieve a full, defined yet fluffy fro!

So what are your thoughts on Camille Rose products? Have you tried them yet? Post your comments below!

  1. Question for you...I was unsure of where to post this...and I just decided to write this question here...We have really similar hair texture...my length is a tad longer and I think my hair is a little less thick than yours...but my curl pattern and styling results seems to be really similar. I wanted to know how often you restyle your hair. Right now my go to style that I achieve the best results on is twist out...I usually can get like 3 days out of it before I need to restyle...and to do that I either put water in my hair with no additional products...or I rinse my hair completely (maybe cowash) and retwist. Is two times a week too often to put water on your hair? I almost always air dry...but it just seems like a lot of manipulation...

  2. The member he worked with was dependent on sugar, taking in more than 5 bundles of sugar at once and needed to take out sugar from her eating routine.
